New Digg Labs

Digg has just released the new Digg Labs, where you can find Stack, and Swarm. Both of these are visualization tools that make it easier to find more good content. Stack is where "Digg Stack shows diggs occurring in real time on up to 100 stories at once. Diggers fall from above and stack up on popular stories. Brightly colored stories have more diggs." and Swarm is where "Digg Swarm draws a circle for stories as they're dugg. Diggers swarm around stories, and make them grow. Brightly colored stories have more diggs." I like Stack better, it is fun watching the lines fall from above. With one glance you can see which stories are popular by the color and how tall it is. I found Swarm to be a little confusing, at times there can be too much going on. Still it is a lot of fun watching people swarm around stories, and seeing who is just digging and not reading the stories. What is really neat about swarm is that the stories get closer together when they are being dugg by similar users. Which provides a great visual cue of what people like. Overall I really like using both of these tools. Go check them out here. For more information about both of these great tools, see the Digg blog.
