National Boy Scout Jamboree Faces Some Problems

I am a Boy Scout but I was not able to go to the National Jamboree (which is still going on right now). I am really disapointed but in some ways I am glad that I could not go. 5 Scouters are dead, 1 volunteer had a heart related problem and died and the other 4 scoutmasters were electrocuted while setting up a large tent. The tent fell into some powerlines and all 4 scoutmasters died. On top of all that on Wed. 40,000 scouters waited hours in very hot weather for President Bush to appear. During that waiting time over 300 scouts were taken to the hospital because of heat-related illness. Preisent Bush did not come due to possible thunderstorms. So all of that for nothing! Hopefully next week will go better.
