Blog-A-Thon 06

This years Blog-A-Thon, is going on right now, this is where bloggers from around the world blog for 24 hours. With 311 blogs participating, they have pledges totaling: $88,667.45 that will be donated to charities.

They pick a charity, and people make pledges, then during the Blog-a-thon you make a post every half an hour. When the event is done you donate the money to the charity. At the Blog-a-thon site they are doing games and have a forum where every one talks and has a good time. The "L" will be in next years Blog-a-Thon, if it wasn't for The "L" being down, we would have been in it this year.

Unfortunately it is too late for you to participate in this years Blog-a-Thon, but if you have a blog I encourage you to participate next year. If you don't have a blog but want one, I recommend Blogger, or Wordpress, they are free.

UPDATE: The Blog-a-Thon now has made $90,212.64...8 hours to go, I hope they hit 100,000.

UPDATE: With the Blog-a-Thon over the official results are in, with 285 blog involved they made $98,844.48 that will be donated to a variety of charities.
