If you want to download a update or other programs from Microsoft, you will have to submit your site to Microsoft for scanning. If your computer has pirated software on it then you will not get your update. This is the new policy for Microsoft it requires all customers to get their computer scanned. Some people are complaining about privacy. Microsoft scans the machines for information like product keys and OS versions and some other information. Microsoft is also saying that if you unknowingly bought a counterfeit version of Windows XP Microsoft will give you a free real Windows XP if you fill out some forms and send the fake CD to them.
