Speculation is mounting that a press conference called by Apple for next Wednesday will be the platform for the launch of a long-awaited handset combining the software behind the iPod with a phone capable of carrying thousands of songs.
Motorola announced last year that it was working with California-based Apple on a handset which would contain iTunes, the software player that works with iPod and allows users to store and transfer music from their computer to the player."
